Therapy can feel unfamiliar at first, especially if you are used to managing things privately or carrying emotional pressure alone.
Sessions with me are intended to be a space where you can gradually let some of that pressure down.
You do not need to arrive with everything neatly explained or fully understood.
There is no rigid script or pressure to “do therapy correctly.”
You may:
cry
reflect deeply
sit quietly
talk freely
feel uncertain
gradually find words for experiences you have carried alone for a long time
Some sessions may feel emotionally deep and revealing. Others may focus more practically on current relationships, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, or understanding patterns in everyday life.
My role is not to lecture you, judge you, or position myself as the authority on your life.
Instead, I work alongside you in helping you:
understand yourself more clearly
recognise patterns that may no longer serve you
build greater emotional awareness
develop self-trust and self-compassion
feel more emotionally grounded and internally steady
Change usually happens gradually — through honesty, awareness, emotional processing, and the experience of feeling genuinely understood.
