Life can quietly become overwhelming. You might look like you’re coping on the outside while inside you feel anxious, low, stuck, or simply worn down from holding everything together.
Counselling offers a calm, supportive space where you don’t have to face things alone. A space to slow down, be met with care, and begin to understand what’s really going on beneath the surface.
Ongoing anxiety or constant overthinking
Feeling low, flat, or emotionally disconnected.
Difficult past experiences that still affect you now.
Relationship struggles or painful patterns that repeat.
Feeling stuck, lost, or at a turning point in life.
You don't need to arrive with clear answers or a neat explanation. We can make sense of things together, at your pace.
I work in a warm, thoughtful, and down-to-earth way. Our sessions are not about analysing you or trying to “fix” you. Instead, we pay careful attention to your lived experience — your thoughts, emotions, body responses, relationships, and life story.
We move at a pace that feels safe. There’s no pressure to talk about anything before you’re ready. Often, simply having a space where you can speak honestly and be met without judgement can bring a sense of relief and clarity.
My approach is integrative, which means I draw from different therapeutic perspectives depending on what feels most helpful. Some sessions may gently explore how past experiences still shape the present. Others may focus on understanding anxiety, emotional overwhelm, or difficult relationship dynamics. At times, we may also reflect on deeper questions about identity, meaning, or change when these feel important to you.
Sessions are 50 minutes and take place online or in person in South-East Essex.
This is your space. You can talk, reflect, feel, question, or sit quietly if needed. I won’t rush you, push you, or tell you how you should be. My role is to walk alongside you with care, honesty, and attention, helping you develop a clearer, kinder understanding of yourself.
Change often happens gradually — through insight, emotional processing, and discovering new ways of relating to yourself and others.
I’m Garry, an integrative counsellor with a relational and depth-oriented approach. I’m particularly interested in how early experiences shape us, how emotions are held in the body, and how people can reconnect with a steadier sense of themselves during difficult times.
Alongside professional training, I bring warmth, life experience, and respect for each person’s unique path. I see therapy as a collaborative process built on trust, care, and honest conversation.
